Three 28mm Samurai wearing distinctive and unusual styles of armour, making this set ideal for adding individual character figures to a Sengoku-period Japanese army. The varied appearance of the figures makes them particularly suitable as veteran warriors, retainers, guards or colourful personalities within a Samurai force.
One figure wears a tall kabuto and carries a baton, which could equally be replaced with a katana if desired. The second wears armour inspired by a monk and wields a yari, with a random yari style supplied. The third Samurai wears armour based on, or adapted from, European-style helmet and breastplate forms, most likely reflecting the influence of Portuguese contact with Japan.
The set is especially useful for collectors and painters who enjoy unusual armour styles, while also fitting naturally into skirmish forces, command groups and more individualised Samurai units.
Suitable for historical wargaming, Samurai armies, skirmish games, collectors and dioramas.
Contains 3 x 28mm metal miniatures with weapons. Supplied unpainted and unassembled.
