Four 28mm elite Samurai in static ready poses, armed with yari and wearing a striking variety of armour and helmets. The set is ideal for representing veteran warriors, senior retainers, guards or elite infantry waiting to receive an attack within a Sengoku-period Japanese army.
The figures are deliberately more distinctive than ordinary rank-and-file Samurai. One wears tengu birdman-style armour, another is equipped in namban, or European-influenced, armour. A third wears an eboshi, or court-hat style helmet, together with elaborate mixed-lace armour. The fourth wears fur-covered armour and a helmet with large projecting ears, giving the group a particularly individual appearance.
Supplied with separate heads and yari, the set offers useful variety and works especially well alongside other elite and fighting Samurai in the range. Their restrained poses also make them suitable for command groups, guard details and more disciplined elite formations.
Suitable for historical wargaming, Samurai armies, skirmish games, collectors and dioramas.
Contains 4 x 28mm metal miniatures with separate heads and yari. Supplied unpainted and unassembled.
