Two 28mm elite mounted Samurai wearing striking and costly armour, making this set ideal for representing important warriors, senior retainers or characterful mounted nobles within a Sengoku-period Japanese army. The figures have a strong individual presence and are especially suitable for adding variety and status to Samurai cavalry forces.
The figure on the left wears an expensive namban-style armour with fur thigh guards, marking him out as a particularly important and wealthy warrior. The figure on the right wears nio-do armour with scaled thigh guards and sleeves, and carries a nodachi, a long-bladed weapon associated with reach and dramatic battlefield presence. His theatrical appearance suggests a formidable warrior keen to project both status and reputation.
Both mounted figures are one-piece castings of rider and horse, making them straightforward to assemble while still offering plenty of visual character. They work equally well as elite cavalry, distinguished retainers or individual mounted commanders within larger Samurai armies.
Suitable for historical wargaming, Samurai armies, skirmish games, collectors and dioramas.
Contains 2 x mounted 28mm metal miniatures. Rider and horse are cast as one piece. Supplied unpainted and unassembled.
