Description

A pair of 28mm Daimyo figures depicting Ishida Mitsunari and Ukita Hideie, two of the most important commanders of the Western Army at the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600. Both figures wear distinctive armour and elaborate kabuto, making them ideal as characterful command figures for a Sengoku-period Japanese army.

Ishida Mitsunari was a skilled administrator and political leader who became the driving force behind the coalition formed to oppose Tokugawa Ieyasu. At Sekigahara he emerged as one of the principal commanders of the Western Army, attempting to hold together an alliance of powerful daimyo with widely differing loyalties and ambitions.

Ukita Hideie was one of the strongest supporters of the Western cause and brought a substantial force to the battle. A powerful daimyo in his own right, he fought on Mitsunari’s side during the decisive struggle against Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Together the two figures make an excellent command pairing for Western Army forces and are particularly suitable for recreating the Sekigahara campaign.

Suitable for historical wargaming, Samurai armies, collectors and dioramas.

Contains 2 x 28mm metal miniatures. Supplied unpainted and unassembled.
